Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog this for the past couple of weeks for Lent we needed to pick 3 things to fast, prayer, give. I really enjoyed this past couple of weeks fast, giving and praying  for my fasting I decided to not eat ice cream for 40 days. for give I decided to give $5 dollors of my pocket money to anyone I see in need. for prayer I said that I would pray every night before I go to bed I have found it hard to do some of these promises but I have done a couple of them. when I get tempted to break one of my promise I think about how great I will feel at the end of the 40 days. we needed to do a couple of questions every week. here are my questions.

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog. This week for my blog I will be sharing my RE with you. For RE in the gospel we learnt about how Jesus and God loves us.  we had to pick out of a couple options like meaningful quotes about Jesus/God, or you could pick a bible verse I decided to do a couple of quotes about Jesus. When I was creating my post to put on my TikTok I found 3 meaningful quotes about Jesus I posted them because I want people to know how much Jesus and God love people.

Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog this week we have been learning about Anne Frank. We needed to read a book about Anne Frank to find out what happend to her. After we read the book we had to make a fake tiktok profile about her. In the bio you needed to write what you found out from the book. I found out a lot about what happened to her. had to blog about It and that Is what I’m doing now. one day well the war was going the narzis wanted to take Anne and her family away. But Anne and her family didnt want to get taken away so they hid they had set there attic up and stayed in there for 2 years they couldn’t leave the house and they couldn’t talk just in case people heard them talking so when they needed food they got people to bring food to them. If the narzis found out that people were bringing food to them then they would be killed after two years of them hiding in there attic they got found and the only person that survived was Anne’s dad.

Kia Ora bloggers, this week we have been learning about the earth systems there are 5 trypes of things air,fire,water,soil,life forms we also needed to learn about the 5 layers of the atmostphere. then we needed to make a Project we needed to choose out of mincraft, paper mashie, maps, and a 3d diarama i decided to make a paper mashie this is my writing blurb.

The magical lake- I have made my world out of cardboard,  newspaper, glue and a little bit of water. I also used some rocks and some leaves off a tree to make some bushes. I used some hot glue and paint and I started with some cardboard. I had gotten some ice block boxes and cut them up. I used two ice block boxes and laid them down. I cut all the sides so that there were the falter sides down.Then I started to use some other sides and made a mountain. I painted the floor with this sand color and I painted the mountain a dark gray then I decided to make a small lake. I hot glued some trees down and got some rocks for the outline of the lake. 

I used the regular rock for the school and the climate is 30 to 40 degrees c the only people that are on my island are my friends family

This week in reading our goal was to independently predict, interpret and analyse text, ‘reading between the lines’ to gain a deeper meaning.

We read a text called MeMe, in this story Nina had just gotten a phone and then she downloaded all the cool apps everyone had been talking about. However she soon found out the phone was causing to feel anxiety and worry about what other people think of her. The author told us this through a pretend character called MeMe. We had to read between the lines to find pros and cons of having a phone.

Kia Ora, This week for our create we needed to make a google drawing about 5 rocks and write some infomation about what you know about all five. I pick out of about 30 rocks and the five that I chose was chalk, diabase, marble, peridotite, rock salt thease were the five types of rock I kinda knew some things about. this is what I have made.

For the last four weeks of Term 3 we were learning about ‘How we can be Champions on Peace’. Firstly we learnt about the different symbols of peace. Some of these are yingyang, peace sign and more.

These symbols represent peace because of the Yang personality, expanding, warm, outward reaching, and open –the emotion of peace is inclusive.

We also researched some real life champions of peace and wrote a short biography. I wrote about how I thought this person was a champion of peace because Jesus made miracles happen.

I enjoyed learning about peace because the I can learn how to be a good person.

I learnt that those signs are meanings of peace.

One way I plan on being a champion of peace is by doing good things. 

On Monday the 10th of September Kaupeka year 7’s went to camp for two nights and three days. We went to Wainui camp. It took about an hour and a half to get there on the bus. 

My activity group was made up of Me, Claudia, Payton, Ella, Patrick, Kellan, Oscar, Eli and Christian. our activity leader was Oscars Dad Andrew. Our first activity was orientering I really liked orientering becuase we did a compitetion boys vs girls to see who would win, We all got all of the numbers at the same time then it was a race back to the meeting spot we needed to get all of our team back but the boys got there faster then the girls .

 Kia Ora bloggers.  This week in Science we have been learning about electricity. The Experiment we did was battery power, circuts solar cars, How a tourch works, Some new words I learned was circuts some new ideas I learned was you can put two wires in playdough and then put this type of light and it would light up.

One of the experiments we did was: Squishy circuts.

Materials needed : playdough, clay, a light, and wires. 

My Hypothesis: Before conducting my experiment I thought that if I could put the playdough, light and wires together it would work. 

What I discovered: After finishing my experiment I found out that my hypothesis was correct because once I had put everything together the light had turned on. 

I made myself. 

Conclusion: Pick two of these to add to your blog.

Out of all the experiments we did I really enjoyed doing the qusishy Ciruts because you got to play with playdough and get a light to turn on. 

Something I found challenging was that you had to move all the parts around so that the light would turn on I also found they most things needed to be in a spasific way.
